A group of voluntary organizations came together to found the Ordos Literary and Art Volunteers’ Association, with the new group officially set up at a ceremony held in Dongsheng district, Ordos, on Jan 19.

The first congress of the association was held later the same day.

Members of the first council and presidium were elected during the congress, with the association deciding on its rules and regulations for its members and activities.   

Initially, the organization plans to focus on providing cultural services and will be under the direct administration of Ordos Literary Association. 

It is hoped that local residents involved in the arts will join the organization and take part in voluntary activities, helping to enrich the city’s culture and providing new leisure activities for people.
