The government of Inner Mongolia autonomous region signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with China Three Gorge Corporation in Beijing, on Dec 27, 2018.

The new agreement commits both parties to deeper cooperation in the energy sector.

China Three Gorge Corporation is the world's largest hydropower development and energy operations company, and China's largest clean energy group.

The two sides have already worked together on pumped storage and new energy development projects, and plan to develop the modern energy economy in Inner Mongolia.

The region will receive assistance from the company in protecting its local environment and ecology, as well as benefiting fully from the firm's capital, staff and technology.

Inner Mongolia will provide support to the development of China Three Gorge Corporation, benefiting both the region and the company.
