Construction of a $78 million project to manufacture explosion-proof, trackless rubber-tired locomotives began in Jiangsu Industrial Park, Ejin Horoo Banner, Ordos, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, June 11.

The arrival of the project at Ejin Horoo is another of the district’s successes in developing industrial transfer systems to and from relatively well-developed areas.

Once the project reaches its designed output capacity, estimated sales could reach 1 billion yuan ($156 million) and lead to the creation of nearly 1,000 new employment opportunities, officials said. 

Joint efforts by Jiangsu Keshi Group and Shendong Group led to this project completing Ejin Horoo Banner’s industrial coal chain.
