The Whistling Dune Bay Co was named as one of the “30 national outstanding cultural companies”, according to a list recently released by Guangming Daily and Economic Daily at the China Shenzhen International Cultural Industries Fair.

It was the first time that a company based in Inner Mongolian autonomous region had made the widely anticipated list at the fair.

The 30 companies that on the list were ranked according to the social and economic benefits they generated.

Companies honored by the list must fall into the categories of film and television production, cultural innovation, publishing, advertising, entertainment or animation.

Additionally, companies must meet the basic indicator of economic benefits, with their sales revenues and net assets both surpassing 1 billion yuan ($158 million).

The selection of 30 national outstanding cultural companies was initiated with the aim of building a batch of competitive companies in the cultural industry.
