The Seven-star Lake tourist attraction is located in the Hanggin Banner, with a graceful lake, flying birds, misty scenery and lush water grass. There are seven mirror-like lakes scattered orderly in the form of the Plough, and thus the area obtained its name. 

In 2011, the Seven-star Lake was confirmed as the permanent site of the "Kubuqi International Desert Forum" by the UN.
