Based upon its desert resource and Mongolian culture, the Whistling Dune Bay tourist attraction has been pursuing comprehensive development and management since 1984. Its eco-cultural tourism industry has raised the employment rate and income of the local residents.

Dalad Banner has completed a project that can produce 100,000 cubic meters of flakeboard per year and planted 666.67 hectares of Russian seabuckthorn. The construction of a seabuckthorn beverage processing industrial park is underway.
