The Ordos Desert, once a scar on the earth, is turning into a land of green and a desert tourism resort after years of effort. 

The beautiful scenery of Resonant Sand Gorge and Kubuqi National Desert Park, the achievements in afforestation, ecological protection, aerial afforestation, and the development of sand industry in the boundless desert, have all attracted numerous tourists. 

Officials from the Inner Mongolia Tourism Bureau said that the desert is a unique resource. Desert tourism has been growing in popularity since the 1980s. Due to Ordos' obvious location advantages, more and more domestic and foreign tourists are going there to experience its abundant natural resources and colorful national culture.
