In order to offer convenient financial services to the foreign guests attending the 13th Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 13) to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), its organizers have set up 77 financial service centers in Ordos' core areas of Dongsheng district, Altan Xire town, and Kangbashi district.

Forty-seven of the 77 service centers provide not only foreign currency exchange but also encashment. One is located at the Ejin Horo International Airport, another is in the Ordos International Convention and Exhibition Center, and 45 are at bank outlets (35 in Dongsheng district, 6 in Altan Xire town, and 4 in Kangbashi district). 

There are 20 centers for foreign currency exchange service only, six in Dongsheng, one in Altan Xire town of Ejin Horo Banner and another in Kangbashi, and the remaining in 12 bank outlets (10 in Dongsheng, 1 in Altan Xire, and 1 in Kangbashi).

Ten off-line ATM machines for encashment service are distributed in 8 bank outlets, the Ordos Railway Station, West Dongsheng Railway Station, Dongsheng District, Altan Xire town, and Kangbashi district. Bank card holders can also access service on POS machines in 49 centers. 

Service Hours: The Ordos International Convention and Exhibition Center is available for foreign currency exchange from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; the bank's foreign currency exchange service is available from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm; the hotel's foreign currency exchange service runs from 9:00 am till 9: 00 pm; and ATM machines offer 24-hour service.

According to the requirements of the secretariat of the UNCCD, US dollars and euros are available for foreign currency exchange, and the five acceptable foreign bank cards are MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Dale, and JCB.
