The 13th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNCCD will be held at the Ordos International Convention Center (referred to as the Center), Inner Mongolia autonomous region, from Sept 6 to 17.

Recently, the reconstruction of outdoor landscape and indoor meeting rooms was completed.

Entering the Center, attendees will come across a plant-made scene of people dancing and playing the Mongol stringed instrument, surrounded by horses and camels, portraying the traditional lifestyle of Mongolian people.

The scene shows the inheritance of the prairie culture and the desertification achievement in Ordos.

The indoor meeting rooms consist of a convention center, a main venue (Hall A), a plenary session hall (Hall B), an achievement exhibition of combating desertification (Hall C), four temporary meeting rooms and one outdoor exhibition area.

Restaurants, registration reception and security checking zone lie in the west of the Center.

The opening of high-level segment will be held at the plenary session hall, whose roof is designed in a Mongolian yurt shape, with five-colored hadas in red, yellow, green, blue and white linking to the conference logo to welcome attendees from all around the world.

There are 1,108 seats at the plenary session hall and the materials of the wall, meeting tables and the sound equipment are prepared according to the requirements of the United Nations.
