A delegation of lawmakers and parliamentary officials from eight countries — Samoa, the Cook Islands, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and Fiji — recently visited South China's Guangdong province.

In the city of Zhuhai, the delegation toured the headquarters of Gree Electric Appliances, a Chinese home appliances manufacturer, and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.

Auuapaau Mulipola Aloitafua Mulipola, speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Samoa, said that Guangdong's large-scale infrastructure, efficient transportation system and innovation-driven development model had profoundly impressed him.

He also expressed the hope that Guangdong and Samoa would further expand their cooperation and explore new opportunities across multiple fields in the future.
