Senior legislator inspects work of administrative adjudication, administrative prosecution in Henan

Hao Mingjin, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), led a team to Central China's Henan province from June 4 to 7 to inspect the administrative adjudication work of the people's courts, as well as the administrative procuratorial work of the people's procuratorates in the province.

The team travelled to the cities of Zhengzhou, Xinxiang and Anyang in the province to visit various organizations, including the Zhongyuan Laboratory of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Xinxiang Municipal People's Procuratorate, the Hongqi District Comprehensive Governance Center, the Anyang Intermediate People's Court, and the Wenfeng District People's Procuratorate.

They conducted on-site surveys, held symposiums with local officials, and engaged in discussions with frontline judges, procurators, experts and lawyers to gather opinions and suggestions.

Hao acknowledged the work of administrative adjudication and procuratorial efforts in Henan. He emphasized the importance of integrating administrative adjudication and procuratorial work into efforts to promote the integrated development of the rule of law for the country, the government and society.

He stressed the need to take a people-centered approach and foster a broad societal effort to resolve administrative disputes to continuously enhance people's sense of gain, happiness, and security in terms of rule of law.

Hao highlighted the necessity to fulfill legal responsibilities, ensuring the correct and effective implementation of the nation’s laws to promote law-based administration.

He underlined the importance of comprehensively deepening reform and exploring innovative concepts and methods in administrative adjudication, administrative prosecution and dispute resolution to elevate work standards.

He also urged efforts to create a favorable legal environment to facilitate economic and social development and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the people.
