On Dec 14, Li Hongzhong, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), met with a delegation of France-China Friendship Group of the French National Assembly, led by its president Eric Alauzet, in Beijing.

Li said that under the leadership of the two heads of state, the China-France comprehensive strategic partnership has seen in-depth development. China's NPC is willing to work together with the French National Assembly to strengthen multi-level exchanges between friendship groups and committees under the legislative bodies of the two countries, give full play to the role of regular communication mechanisms, and promote cultural and people-to-people exchanges, so as to continuously consolidate public support for China-France cooperation and to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, he added.

The French side said that the France-China Friendship Group is ready to play a positive role in advancing bilateral friendship and enhancing economic and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
