Last year, Zhongning county in west central Ningxia achieved remarkable results in its industrial economy. The manganese-based materials industry reached a target of 10 billion yuan (about $1.45 billion), the aluminum-based materials industry broke through 8 billion yuan, and the silicon-based industry cluster continued to grow stronger.
Zhongning Industrial Park has focused on the industrial chains of new materials and new energy equipment manufacturing, and introduced a number of high-quality key projects from well-known enterprises such as production of a million tons of high-purity manganese sulfate by Tianyuan Manganese Industry Group and Datang energy storage station.
The park has also implemented the transformations of structure, technology, intelligence and green development to stimulate the vitality of industrial transformation and upgrading and to enhance its innovation capabilities.
Zhongning county has strengthened guarantees for enterprises in important areas including industrial land use, employment, production safety and project construction, promoting the resumption of work and production of key industrial enterprises.
According to an official of the Zhongning Development and Reform Bureau, the county will implement a first group of 32 key industrial projects this year, and is expected to cultivate the aluminum-based materials industry into a billion-yuan industry cluster.
