With the construction of information infrastructure including 5G and gigabit optical networks, Yinchuan, capital city of Ningxia Hui autonomous region, has gained the fastest access, simplest certification, and best services for "Internet Plus Healthcare", which has laid a solid foundation for its development.
The city's national expert remote diagnosis and treatment center is an innovative project in Ningxia's "Internet Plus Healthcare" demonstration zone. As of now, a total of 898 experts from Beijing and Shanghai have provided remote expert outpatient services for 3,139 local patients.
By the end of 2022, the online internet hospital in Yinchuan was able to provide the services of 670,000 doctors, nearly 100,000 of whom are based in Ningxia and have licenses to work in more than one hospital. The platform covers 30 provincial regions in the country and has diagnosed 2.54 million cases and benefitted nearly eight million people in Yinchuan and surrounding areas.
Yinchuan now has experience in developing the "Internet Plus Healthcare" industry, and has taken the lead in launching 19 supporting policies including the management of internet hospitals, administrative approvals, diagnoses and treatment standards and medical insurance support.
In addition, Yinchuan has established the country's first internet medical service supervision platform to ensure the standardization of internet diagnosis and treatment and safeguard hospitals' information security.
