Yinchuan strives to generate consumption growth

Yinchuan, the capital city of Ningxia Hui autonomous region, has been stimulating consumption this year by enhancing logistics and offering richer choices for residents, in order to foster new drivers of economic growth.

The city will accelerate the construction on 53 key commerce projects with a total planned investment of 11.40 billion yuan ($1.8 billion) in 2022.

More efforts will be put in developing first-store economy and night economy.

Both online and offline commerce will be promoted to unleash more potential, including building more smart shopping areas, characteristic commercial blocks and e-commerce livestreaming platforms.

In addition, the city will step up efforts to upgrade the Siji Fresh Agricultural Products Exchange Center. A price monitoring mechanism will be adopted to ensure the supply of necessities for its citizens.

Yinchuan will also continuously optimize the logistics and promote the integrated development of airports and ports.

The city will open freight trains to Laos and Nepal, and more direct flights and airlines to domestic and foreign cities.
