The green food industry in Ningxia is where food is produced, processed, circulated and consumed following the concept of green development to ensure that the products' value, industrial efficiency and farmers' income are increased.
Ningxia has made great efforts to develop green food. It is the national green agriculture pilot zone and suitable for planting high-end organic agricultural products.

The region currently has 13 national standardized production bases for raw materials, and 279 certified green foods. Ningxia Rice and seven other regional public brands have been selected as regional public brands with national characteristics. Agricultural products and 14 vegetable production bases have been chosen in the first batch to serve the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
According to the region's industrial development plan, Ningxia will become a major green food processing area in China by 2025 with 1,000 certified green foods in development.
