A total of 362 partnership agreements worth up to 185.42 billion yuan ($ 26.05 billion) were signed Sept 6 at the fourth China-Arab States Expo.
The event opened yesterday in Yinchuan, capital of Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region.
According to official statistics, the agreements include 228 investment projects worth 175.835 billion yuan, 59 trade projects valued at 9.585 billion yuan, four policy reports, one sister city agreement and 70 memoranda of cooperation.
The deals cover agriculture, technology, manufacturing, trade, infrastructure, education, medical care tourism and other fields.
The agreements include three national-level memoranda, 320 agreements between the autonomous region and Arab States as well as countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and 39 agreements between China's other provinces and cities.
In addition, 75 intergovernmental agreements were signed with countries involved in the BRI, an increase of 57 on the previous expo.
Industrial development in the autonomous region is returning positive results, with half of the deals reached taking an industrial base and involving an endowment of resources.
Other provinces and cities outside the region are also increasingly working with Arab States and countries involved in the BRI, with 39 such agreements worth 37.96 billion yuan signed at the event – four times more than the previous expo.
The expo features 107 exhibition groups, with more than 2,900 business organizations from 89 countries attending.
