Ningbo in East China's Zhejiang province has emerged as a hotspot for investment from the Central and Eastern European countries.
The CEEC International Industrial Cooperation Park encapsulates the city's increasing attractiveness for CEEC investment.
The industrial park, which was established in Yuyao, a county-level city in Ningbo in June last year, covers a total area of 40 square meters. It has to date attracted 120 investment projects worth 62 billion yuan ($9.54 billion), among which 65 projects have begun construction or been put into operation.
Currently, an additional 30-plus investment projects from CEEC are under negotiation.
The park has signed a cooperation agreement with Serbia's Mind Park. As part of the agreement, the two parties will guide their local enterprises and talents to set up businesses and receive training in the opposite party.
It has also established service facilities in countries including Hungary, Italy and the UK for CEEC investors.
The second China-CEEC Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair, which will be held in Ningbo from June 8 to 11, is expected to witness the signing of some investment agreements between the city and CECC.
The trade volume between Ningbo and 17 Central and Eastern European countries amounted to 11.96 billion yuan in the first four months of this year, a year-on-year growth of 48.8 percent.
