Portunid

The portunid is the most common crab and the most expensive of the sea crabs at Yuantuojiao Resort.

The portunid usually lives on the seabed, and moves to the coast in early summer, looking for sandy beaches to spawn. After the ninth lunar month, the body of the portunid begins to accumulate fat, and the meat becomes fat and tender. Portunids can be steamed. They are rich in protein and a variety of minerals.
