Changzhou University, Yangkou Chemical Industrial Park explore deeper collaboration

On Nov 20, Liu Ping, vice-dean of the School of Petrochemical Engineering at Changzhou University, led a team to Yangkou Port for a visit to the pilot base of the Yangkou Chemical Industrial Park. The visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration, integrate industry, academia, research, and application, and exploring new pathways for technological innovation and commercialization in the chemical sector.
During a meeting, the team learned about the pilot base's investment scale, construction projects, operating units, and focus areas.
Miao Tao, director of the Yangkou Chemical Industrial Park Administrative Office, highlighted that the pilot base plays a vital role in industrializing scientific and technological achievements, enhancing public service capacity, and fostering collaboration between industry and academia. Notable achievements include the upcoming delivery of a pilot base project co-invested by the Sunan Institute for Molecular Engineering of Peking University, which will serve as a collaborative innovation platform in the new materials field.
Liu expressed Changzhou University's willingness to leverage its research expertise and technological advantages in the chemical sector to work closely with Yangkou Chemical Industrial Park. Both parties aim to drive innovation and accelerate the transformation of technological breakthroughs into real-world applications.
