Tongzhou accelerates project approvals with innovative policy
In a bid to expedite project approval processes, Tongzhou district in Nantong, Jiangsu province, initiated an innovative approval service in 2022, allowing businesses to commence construction as soon as they secure land.
Since the launch of the initiative, the district has processed 31 projects, each worth over 100 million yuan ($13.96 million). This includes 10 projects in 2022 and 21 projects in the period from January to November this year.
Among these projects is the Meigia-er Textile Machinery project located in Dongshe town. This initiative enabled the project to transition from land acquisition to actual construction in just half a working day.
Expressing satisfaction, a representative from the company said "we anticipated it would take at least two to three days for the approvals, but unexpectedly, everything was completed in less than a day".
