Consumer boom in CCEDZ boosts holiday economy
During the eight-day Spring Festival holiday period, key superstores in the Chongchuan Economic Development Zone, or CCEDZ, witnessed a surge in consumer activity, contributing significantly to economic development.
From Feb 9 to 17, Dayo City, a commercial complex in the zone, recorded sales exceeding 14 million yuan ($1.94 million), a 27 percent year-on-year increase. The cumulative footfall reached 300,000 people, reflecting a 15 percent growth from the previous year. The JinYi Cinema within the commercial complex reported a Spring Festival box office revenue of nearly 1 million yuan, marking an 8 percent year-on-year increase.
Additionally, major supermarkets in the area, including RT-Mart and Maidelong, organized a series of consumer-friendly promotions during the Spring Festival, creating a vibrant festive atmosphere. These activities led to increased sales and foot traffic, contributing to the overall economic boost during the holiday season.
