Video: CCEDZ starts new journey to lead regional development
Established in 1993, the Chongchuan Economic Development Zone (CCEDZ) was approved as a provincial development zone in 1997 and after 20 years of development has become the main economic pillar of Nantong's Chongchuan district.
In January 2020, the CCEDZ was merged with Guanyinshan new area and Guanyinshan Street into integrated operations and flat management. It will enjoy a better system, broader development space, more substantial personnel and more abundant resources.
As an advanced smart industrial manufacturing area, the CCEDZ insisted on a combination of brand and profit and built more than 10 industrial parks such as Tongji Science and Technology Park, Headquarters Economic Industrial Park and Tongzhou Tri-network Integration Industrial Park through self-construction, joint construction and social capital investment based on the characteristics of the area.
With a total construction area of more than 1.5 million square meters and an investment of more than 8 billion yuan ($1.15 billion), CCEDZ has formed a carrier pattern of "one core and multiple areas".
It is also a high-quality and modern living area focusing on ecology and diversified integration. With the Langshan National Forest Park and Central Innovation Zone to its south and the old city center of Nantong to its west, the CCEDZ has superior location and convenient transportation; it's also close to constantly improving living facilities such as schools and supermarkets.
The 18 communities in the CCEDZ always put the people first, promote the innovation of grassroots governance, and explore the service mode of a smart community so as to attract talents and accelerate the integration of industry and urban life.
