Qidong hosted the signing ceremony for three major projects on Sept 3.

A marine engineering and equipment intelligent manufacturing project involves a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan ($350.18 million). It will focus on producing large-scale offshore engineering equipment, oil and gas modules, and chemical containers. Once operational, it is expected to manufacture more than 100,000 metric tons of equipment annually, generating sales revenue of around 2.5 billion yuan.

A marine equipment manufacturing base, backed by Jiangsu Baibang Marine Equipment, received 2 billion yuan in investment. It will specialize in high-value offshore engineering modules, targeting an annual output of over 100,000 tons and generating about 2 billion yuan in output.

The Huaneng Qidong H4# offshore wind-solar hybrid project represents a total investment of 3.5 billion yuan. The project will install 300,000 kW of offshore wind power capacity and 100,000 kW of offshore solar capacity.

At the ceremony, business representatives expressed their confidence in choosing Qidong and particularly Lyusi Port as an investment destination. They emphasized its unique deep-water shoreline, extensive hinterland, and strategic location in the heart of the Yangtze River Delta. Coupled with Qidong's favorable business environment, efficient government services, and forward-looking industrial planning, these advantages made the city a compelling choice for long-term development.
