As urbanization accelerates and demand for industrial upgrades grows, Hai'an is accelerating construction of a series of strategic projects, aiming to build a modern industrial system based on high-end, emerging industries and interconnected supply chains.

Welm Technology's elevator human-machine intelligent interaction system project, with a total investment of 500 million yuan ($69 million), is being built in two phases.

The project integrates advanced machine learning and deep learning algorithms within neural network architectures. The system enables elevator control via facial recognition, voice, fingerprint, iris scanning, contactless sensing, and holographic projection, offering a safer, more convenient riding experience. Once operational, the facility will produce 300,000 smart systems annually, generating an estimated 1 billion yuan in sales.

Another major project in the works is the second phase of Jiangsu Jiangsu Meishen-Meike Precision Machinery Nantong. Known for its precision vertical and horizontal lathes and machining centers, the company supplies key components to major State-owned enterprises.

Once operational, the facility will generate annual sales of 500 million yuan. These high-precision machines are expected to enhance China's capabilities in aerospace-grade manufacturing.

So far this year, five out of six provincial-level key projects have begun construction, with a combined investment of 1.2 billion yuan, ahead of schedule. At the municipal level, 46 of 48 key projects have broken ground, with 4.97 billion yuan already invested.
