Andgel Industrial (Shanghai) recently signed an agreement to build a large-scale high-end manufacturing platform for synthetic biology equipment in the Rugao High-Tech Industrial Development Zone.

Andgel is a leading provider of equipment and system solutions in the biotechnology and biopharmaceutical sectors. The new project, with a total investment expected to exceed 100 million yuan ($13.96 million), is projected to generate an annual output value of over 100 million yuan once fully operational.

Liang Lang, deputy general manager of Andgel Industrial (Shanghai), explained that the decision to establish the production base in Rugao was driven by the company's urgent need to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Additionally, it represents a strategic move to capitalize on national support for the biotechnology industry.

Going forward, the Rugao High-Tech Industrial Development Zone will enhance its collaboration with Andgel to expedite the establishment of this base and develop a comprehensive industrial chain covering research, development, manufacturing, and applications.
