The 2023 Cross-Strait Youth Micro Film Screening Awards Ceremony took place in Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Aug 15.

The event attracted esteemed cultural figures, directors, filmmakers, experts in film restoration, microfilm enthusiasts, and young representatives from both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

By using microfilm as a means of connection, the event offered an opportunity for up-and-coming talent in the film and television industry from both sides of the Strait to come together. This allowed them not only to showcase their creative skills but also to establish stronger connections, share ideas, and learn from one another.

During the event, 10 exceptional microfilm works received awards, two of which were crafted by a filmmaker from Nantong. The awarded films included a wide range of genres, providing deep cultural insights and reflections on life from the perspective of young individuals from both sides of the Strait.
