China Tourism News recently launched a display activity for China's magical landforms, focusing on the display of four types of landforms, including Yardang landforms, Karst landforms, Danxia landforms, and coastal landforms.

Qidong's "tidal trees" were included in the coastal landforms section.

"Tidal trees" are a kind of sedimentary shape formed during the rise and fall of sea water under a natural tidal influence.

Seen from the sky, the ditches washed out by thousands of tides give the appearance of big trees on the shoal.

The formation of "tidal trees" helps protect biodiversity and brings in tourists.

Location: Jianghai Lanwan Resort in Qidong, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province.
