Chongchuan: A hub for car networking industry
Chongchuan district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has been making efforts to advance the car networking industry in recent years.
The district is currently home to over 40 upstream and downstream enterprises.
Among them is Suntech Co Ltd, which is engaged in the production, research and development of professional automotive sensors such as high-temperature sensors.
Last year, the company established a production base for automotive high-temperature sensors in the Shibei High-tech Zone and achieved sales of over 50 million yuan ($7.19 million).
Shen Yan, the general manager of Suntech, said that they have invested heavily in improving technology and equipment.
According to Shen, some manual operations have been replaced by intelligent equipment, and each step of the manufacturing process is controlled by equipment, including the recording of the entire process.
In addition, Chongchuan has built many industrial parks to attract more related enterprises, among which is the Zhongnan High-tech Vehicle Innovation Industrial Park.
The industrial park, which focuses on the automotive electronics and integrated circuit industries, has become a modern industrial complex featuring diverse functions and comprehensive services.
Enterprises based within the park have an annual output value of nearly 2 billion yuan and are expected to reach 5 billion yuan after entering full production.
Last year, the Nantong digital transportation industrial park and a project backed by JSTI Group were introduced to Chongchuan, which is expected to further improve the industrial chain of the car networking industry in the district.
