Nantong promotes cultural, tourism attractions in Shanghai

Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province recently held a promotional event in Shanghai to introduce its cultural and tourism attractions.

Guide Zhang Jian was invited to talk about Nantong's fresh air, delicious dishes, and longevity, while Shanghai residents were invited to try out the city's entertainment activities and delicacies during the event.

A promotional video for Nantong's cultural and tourism attractions was also screened to show participants the city's beauty and elegance.

Chongchuan, Tongzhou, and Haimen districts, Qidong, Rugao, and Hai'an county-level cities, and Rudong county in Nantong also hosted promotional activities in Shanghai, during which performances such as a Hai'an flower-drum dance, Rugao puppet show, Rudong acrobatics, and Qidong pingtan, Chinese traditional storytelling and ballad-singing that originated in the Suzhou area attracted numerous people in Shanghai.

Sixteen booths were also set up to showcase Nantong's intangible cultural heritage items, such as Nantong paper cutting, banyao kites, and Rudong red wood carving and 15 booths to exhibit the city's delicacies, including Rugao crab roe buns, Tongzhou Xiting crisp biscuits, and Haimen Yisheng liquor.

In addition, a "10,000 Shanghai residents touring Nantong" activity was also launched on the same day with the first batch of 1,200 Shanghai residents visiting Chongchuan district on April 9.
