Chongchuan seeks more investment from Austria, Denmark
Chongchuan district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, dispatched a business delegation to Austria and Denmark at the end of March as part of efforts to attract more investment.
The delegation visited more than 10 organizations and companies in two countries, including the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, the China Chamber of Commerce in Denmark, and Nim Tech.
The Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO), which currently has 380,000 member companies, has set up 74 commercial institutions in over 70 countries and regions.
During the visit to WKO, the delegation promoted the business environment in Chongchuan and sought to strengthen the cooperation between the two sides.
The delegation also visited Mark Metallwarenfabrik, an auto parts manufacturing company which had previously invested in Chongchuan.
During the meeting, representatives of Mark Metallwarenfabrik said that the company would invest $6.5 million to set up a new project in the district.
The delegation also held the Chongchuan-Denmark cooperation conference in Denmark, which was attended by representatives from 20 Danish companies and the China Chamber of Commerce in Denmark.
During the conference, both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation.
During this trip to Austria and Demark, the delegation signed tentative investment agreements with five companies and attracted several companies to visit Chongchuan soon.
