The implementation of a living circle system to ensure that all residents are within a 15-minute walk of a number of living facilities has improved the quality of life in Chongchuan district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province.

To date, the so-called "15-minute living circle" has been implemented in 20 communities in Nantong, 12 of which are in Chongchuan.

Among them is the Chunhui community, which has a population of more than 15,000 people, 23.32 percent of whom are over 60 years old.

To make healthcare services available within the shortest possible radius, the community healthcare center has provided more than 3,000 old people with family doctors that will offer door-to-door services and periodic physical examinations.

The nearby Hongxing road vegetable market is also a major convenience. The market has a large variety of goods at reasonable prices, and also provides a delivery service.

In addition, the community has set up an art troupe to enrich the cultural life of the elderly.
