The 2022 Jiangsu Art and Photography Exhibition opened in Nantong Art Museum, Chongchuan district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Oct 29, local media reported.

Themed "New Era Ode", the exhibition showcases the development achievements of Nantong in the past decade and features 242 works, including traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintings and photographs, by local artists.

Nantong authorities had in July organized an activity for artists to find inspiration. After the activity, the organizer of the exhibition collected more than 2,000 works, of which 1,217 art pieces were selected for the exhibition.  

The Nantong Art and Photography Exhibition is also being held alongside the exhibition. More than 840 works of fine arts and photography are being exhibited in 10 sub-venues in Nantong Art Museum.
