The first Local Sage Conference of Hai'an and the 2021 Qingdun cultural art festival is tentatively scheduled to be held in the county-level city of Hai'an in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Sept 19-20, according to a news conference on Aug 13.

Hosted by the Hai'an municipal Party committee and government, the conference plans to invite about 300 sages outside the city.

Representatives of local enterprises and ones investing in Hai'an, celebrities from all walks of life, and high-level talent will also be invited to participate in the event. In light of epidemic prevention and control measures, the event will be broadcast live to the world.

According to Lu Lin, head of the publicity department of the Hai'an municipal Party committee, the city has initially established three sage tanks at the municipal level, town (sub-district) level, and village (community) level through preliminary research.

The municipal sage tank has gathered about 2,000 people thus far.

Activities such as a literary and artistic show tours to native lands will be held during the conference.
