The 2020 Nantong Zilang Lantern Show will reopen to the public in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on March 28, according to organizers.

The lantern display, the largest ever held in Nantong, was launched on Jan 15 and scheduled to run until early March. More than 130 sets of lanterns were on display, featuring Nantong's natural scenery, industry, and traditional culture.

It was suspended on Jan 25 due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pneumonia. Organizers said that the show will now run until May 10 and be open from 18:00 to 22:30 every day.

Visitors will only be allowed to enter the display through the southern gate and will be required to have their temperatures taken, wear face masks, and present their ID cards and Health Condition QR Codes.

Those with abnormal temperatures will not be allowed to enter, and any gathering within the venue is forbidden.

The ticket price will be 40 yuan ($5.65) per person from Monday to Thursday, and 50 yuan per person from Friday to Sunday, as well as during the Qingming Festival holiday (April 4 to 6) and the May Day holiday (May 1 to 5).

The display will offer free admission to medical workers and those honored by departments above the county-level for their contributions to fighting the outbreak across the country.

In addition, children under 6 years old, seniors aged over 70, the disabled, servicemen, firefighters, and retired military cadres will also be offered free admission if they present proof of their credentials.
