Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore and Engineering, one of China's leading shipyards based in Qidong, Nantong in terms of the manufacture of gas carriers, recently received two orders of liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel tanks worth a total of more than 160 million yuan ($22.55 million).

After the outbreak of novel coronavirus, many overseas clients doubted the company's capacity to produce and deliver due to travel restrictions and the lack of face-to-face communication.

The company kept in close contact with the clients through online video conferences and dealt with issues responsibly and professionally, which reassured the overseas clients and led to the signing of the two new deals.

The two orders are expected to further promote the company's development in LNG fuel tanks.

The company has received a number of orders, and to date, has restored around 93 percent of productivity. Its taxable revenue in the first quarter of this year is estimated to reach 800 million yuan, twice as much as last year.
