Several experts were invited to discuss the development of Nantong's Tongzhou district March 13, with Liu Xuejun, deputy head of the district, and Zhang Ji, manager of Nantong Vanke.

According to the experts, regional integration in the Yangtze River Delta region is expected to facilitate development in the Yangtze River Economic Zone and East China. Shanghai, Suzhou and Nantong will further promote integrated development in the region.

Liu explained that the district enjoys a favorable location, as it is near the Yangtze River and has a comprehensive transport network, including high-speed rail, urban expressways and airlines. It is also an important international aviation hub.

Based on the development plan for the Yangtze River Delta region, several high-speed railways will be constructed and more entrances and exits on expressways will be opened in the near future.

The district plans to take the opportunity of regional integration in Yangtze River Delta region and learn from the experience of Suzhou. It aims to highlight its competitive industries, promote innovation, carry out further green construction and build itself into a livable place for residents.

The Jinshawan New Area in southeast Tongzhou district is greatly developed and expected to become a new landmark in the district to showcase the city's development.
