The Xiaoyangkou tourist resort in Rudong county, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, was named "home of hot springs" by the China Mining Association on Dec 26.

It is the fourth resort in the province and the first in Nantong to receive such an honor.

The resort, located in the northern part of the Yangtze River Delta, covers a core area of 45.07 square kilometers.

It abounds with more than 1,000 types of seafood and is home to four types of hot spring with temperatures of 42 degrees Celsius, 76 C, 82 C, and 92 C, respectively.

The resort also boasts a seaside wetland, a national-level fishing port, an international kite flying field, and one of the largest offshore wind power generation stations in Asia.

The hot springs were first discovered in July 2005, and the volume of a single spring mouth ranges from 1,900 to 3,506 cubic meters per day.
