A fine art exhibition in honor of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China is currently being held at Nantong University in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province.

The exhibition, organized by Art News of China and Nantong University, features more than 200 photos and materials about fine artworks created between 1949 and 2019.

The exhibits are divided into 16 categories, reflecting China’s development through works on the PRC founding ceremony, the Three Gorges project, national unity, people's daily lives, natural scenery, reform and opening-up, and more.

"The works span 70 years and feature a wide array of themes and artistic styles, which has inspired me to improve my own art skills," said Yan Zhangjing, an art student visiting the exhibition.
