The 2019 China Qidong Festival for Technology Talents was held in Qidong, Nantong, Jiangsu province on Oct 26.

Participants included experts from China and abroad, talents, and representatives from China's leading enterprises.

Several activities were held, including an opening ceremony, forums on industrial development, a promotional fair for Lyusi port, and an award presentation for people who have made significant contributions to Qidong's development.

A total of 22 industrial projects were signed and received 12.6 billion yuan ($1.78 billion) in investment, covering the precision machinery, new energy, and biomedicine industries. Thirty-six industry-academia-research projects, with trade volumes of over 100 million yuan, were also signed during the event.

Wang Xiaobin, secretary of the Qidong municipal Party committee, said that Qidong plans to further integrate innovation, industries, capital, and talent and provide high-quality services to investors.

The festival serves as an important platform for Qidong to showcase its achievements and promote exchange. It has helped facilitate economic development in Qidong since its first session in 2003.
