A fair for high-end industries and high-level talents will take place in Tongzhou district, Nantong, Jiangsu province from Oct 25 to 26.

The fair has been held every year since 2005. This year, it will consist of an opening ceremony, an innovation and entrepreneurship competition, forums on industrial development, and two exhibitions.

Tongzhou district is accelerating its integration with the Shanghai metropolitan area and is focusing on project development and innovation. It hopes the fair will help it attract more investment and talent in information technology, smart equipment, and the automobile industry.

Over the past three years, 491 projects valued at over 100 million yuan ($14.13 million) have been carried out in Tongzhou district and 710 high-level talents have come to work in the district.

In 2018, the district's gross regional product was 126.9 billion yuan. The output value of high-tech industry accounted for 50.7 percent of the local industrial output value which exceeded 200 billion yuan.

Last year, Tongzhou district ranked 22nd among the top 100 districts in China and first in central and north Jiangsu province in terms of comprehensive economic strength.
