The development of a credit culture is currently being promoted in Gaodian community, Gangzha district, Nantong, Jiangsu province.

Around 1,000 volunteers have registered on the community's volunteer service platform, motivated by a number of incentives. Volunteers carry out tasks such as cleaning up the streets, tidying up e-bikes, and caring for the elderly.

Volunteer Gao Yongfa said that helping others makes him feel great, and allows him to accumulate points which can be exchanged for daily necessities.

There is also a blacklist to expose dishonest behaviors within the community.

A resident surnamed Li said that he was once listed for failing to take proper care of his dog. Since then, he has been monitoring his behavior more closely and instructed his family to do the same.

Storage rooms have been established to provide people with daily necessities, including fire tools, handcarts, and first-aid kits.

A station for exchanging goods was also set up by residents and is being managed by representatives elected by the locals.

The station has helped develop frugality among residents and has made them more credit-conscious.

In the future, the community plans to continue developing its social credit system.
