Ding Yang, a member of the acrobatics troupe in Rudong county, Nantong, Jiangsu province, won the top award at the 135th Italy International Magic Convention in Abano Terme, Italy.

This year's magic convention attracted magicians from 14 countries including the United States, France, Switzerland and Poland. More than 20 performances were given.

The magic competition consisted of stage magic and close-up magic. The three most outstanding performers were honored with gold, silver and bronze medals.

Ding Yang won gold for her stage magic as well as the "gold magic wand" award, the highest award offered, making her the 20th magician ever to receive the honor.

The convention is organized by the Italian Magic Club every year to provide a platform for exchange among amateur and professional magicians across the world.
