Nantong launches double-decker buses

The city of Nantong in East China’s Jiangsu province introduced a total of four double-decker buses for sightseeing on Sept 29 in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the upcoming 2019 China Forest Tour Festival, according to local media.

The red buses set off from the Langshan Tourist Center and pass through the Central Business District, the Administrative Center, Shizi Street, and the Haohe Visitor Center before arriving at the Bonsai Garden. They then return to Langshan Mountain, journey to Junshan Lyuye and the East Gate of Langshan Mountain, and then finally return to the Langshan Tourist Center.

The total journey is 35 kilometers long and is expected to take two hours to complete. The bus fare is two yuan ($0.28) and buses arrive every hour.

Sixteen seats are available on the lower deck and 44 on the upper deck.
