Construction on Xinqiao Park in Chongchuan district, Nantong is nearing completion, officials said.

Although the park has not officially opened, a 3,000-square-meter man-made lake, a public square, and a playground for children have already been completed, attracting many locals.

Covering an area of around 5,000 square meters, this is the first comprehensive park to be funded by the Chongchuan government. It is designed for visitors of all ages.

Officials said construction is expected to be completed in mid-September.

In recent years, the Nantong government has been investing heavily in developing parks and improving the city's environment. It aims to build 20 new parks every year.
