A total of 13 firms from Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, have been included in the China Top 500 Private Enterprises list issued by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce on Aug 22.

Two firms made it into the top 50, with Zhongnan Holding Group ranking 19th and Nantong Sanjian Holdings (Group) Co ranking 36th.

Zhongnan Holding also ranks 10th among China’s top 100 private enterprises in the service industry.

This year, enterprises needed to make at least 18.58 billion yuan ($2.62 billion) in revenue to make the list of the top 500 enterprises, up from last year’s 15.68 billion yuan.

Among the 13 Nantong enterprises, two earned more than 100 billion yuan in 2018, while six earned more than 50 bilion yuan. Last year, the total combined revenue of the 13 enterprises was 797.27 billion yuan.
