A pen drawing exhibition kicked off in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, on Aug 19. It will run until Aug 25.

More than 50 works by Zhang Xiaoman, a retired fine arts teacher, are currently on display.

Zhang graduated from the College of Fine Arts of Capital Normal University and has devoted herself to teaching fine arts to children.

She has been named a “national outstanding teacher” and her prints have been exhibited in Japan and the United States.

Zhang started pen drawing after retiring and has developed her own style with flowing lines and strong contrast.

Her works were auctioned off at the opening ceremony to collect money for charity.
