A group of around 30 foreigners took part in a cultural tour titled “Falling in Love with Nantong” in Rudong, a county-level city in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, on Jan 19.
The group members were from a diverse range of countries, including the United States, Japan, Singapore and India.
During the trip, they visited Yangkou Port and a local exhibition hall showcasing the area’s intangible cultural heritage. They also watched traditional dances and acrobatic performances.
The activity was organized by the information office and foreign affairs office of Nantong government, with the aim of building links between China and other countries, as well as promoting the culture of the local area.
More than 40 such activities have been held in recent years, including photography contests and volunteering events.
