New self-service library opens in Nantong
A 24-hour self-service library opened at Wanda Plaza, Gangzha district, Nantong, Jiangsu province on Dec 14. This is the first 24-hour self-service library in Nantong.
The library provides about 400 books of various categories. People can apply for a reader’s card with their registered ID cards and a pledge of 50 yuan ($7.25).

The 24-hour self-service library is one of the beneficial projects that the municipal government carried out to protect public cultural rights and improve public cultural services.
The city library will set up more self-service libraries in Nantong, forming a service system of public libraries with sharing resources, according to Shi Chonghua, curator of Nantong Library.
