Unexpected delicacies in dark colors

We always associate dark food with an ugly appearance and bitter taste. However, some dark foods are unexpected delicacies with abundant nutrition. During the Republic of China (1912-1949) era, banquets of black food were a hit among high officials in Nanjing, East China's Jiangsu province.
